Weddings are very different to any other event or function.

For many brides, it's the day they have been planning and dreaming of all their lives.

Successful wedding receptions don't just happen by accident - they are the result of a lot of time spent on pre-event planning, by the clients and work behind the scenes.

As a wedding specialist it is also important to understand all the elements of a wedding and to be able to personalise the evening to make it special and memorable.

Reassurance

Most brides have never booked a disco before.

It is often the thing that worries them the most.

It is a very important day for them, and they've heard all the horror stories and may have witnessed a cheesy mobile DJ in the past.

Weddings & what I can do for you!!

Emails

During the time up to your reception you may send as many emails as you wish to enquire on any part of your reception as I am very approachable an it is always important to build a rapport and ultimately make your evening a far better event.

Useful details which can assist me with your reception:
Do you have any finer details you may wish to discuss about your wedding reception?
Do you have any plans which will personalise your event?
What are your musical tastes?

First Dance

First dance songs are chosen for a number of reasons such as the meaning behind the lyrics, memories of a moment shared together or a song that moves you.

Often, a lot of time and thought has gone into choosing this song, and it is imperative that not only I play the right song, but also play your chosen version.

It is also useful to know whether you prefer the whole song to yourselves or part way through before inviting others up, or the song shortened & if you prefer to choose a second dance song so that other people can be invited to join you.

Other special dances may be requested, such as father daughter and wedding party might be requested.

Recently has also seen the introduction of a planned surprise routine dances by the newlyweds and on occasion a group of guests etc. (it’s a bit like a dance of where you show off your dance skills, Its very Fun and very entertaining) All of this can be arranged at your request.

Personalisation

Let me know where you are going on honeymoon so that I can arrange to play a suitable song;

Are there guests attending from overseas and, if so, I could source some music from their country;

Is anyone celebrating a birthday or anniversary;

What do you both do for a living and is there anything I can do to include this (bearing in mind that many of your work colleagues may be attending the evening & we can discuss the 'not to play songs'.

Other options that help to personalise the evening are the inclusion of traditions such as the bouquet toss and garter routine.

I at your request can also provide a fun lively party, a sophisticated evening or a club style evening.

Additional Services

As well as playing the right music for the bride and groom and their guests, I also offer additional services that could enhance your evening. Especially for the 'non dancey guests'

Aditional

I can offer country/ceilidh dancing, line dancing, games, karaoke or quiz.

Kids Entertainment

If children are attending, I can also provide some action dances and games during the evening especially for the younger guests.

Background music

So that your meal & buffets are as entertaining and flow seamlessly, I can provide background music and clear wireless microphones for speeches.

The Bride and groom not only want the wedding of their dreams, they want their guests to enjoy the day too. As a Professional DJ, I regard myself as more than the person who plays the music. I see my role as extending far beyond this by interacting with guests and ensuring that everyone leaves with fond memories.

Dress code

As a Wedding DJ I also dress accordingly for the occasion – Jeans, T-Shirt & Trainers Always look good! But no seriously, I shall arrive in full Scottish attire or suit, so that I am able to blend in with your guests.
